The team returned from their tournament at the American International School of Bamako, Mali. The teams finished in 4th and 6th placed. Sid from Grade 8 won the countdown round and Ada from Grade 8 was placed 4th which puts the top 8 students from all teams in a competition to find the top mathematician. This is a great result for ISD. A full report will be in next weeks newsletter. Thanks to Mrs Yeager, Mr. Bryant and the team for representing the ISD Jaguars at the WAISAL Mathcounts.

 

It seems ASA got off to a good start. Pottery is a new activity and it looked like the kids were having fun and some creative pieces of work were produced. If your child is in an activity that needs to pay a fee of 15000CFA to the instructor, Please, Please, Please pay this by next week. Thanks to the parents who paid this week.

 

I have attached the colors the students will be in and the organization for sports day. Please make sure students have their colored t shirt/top, hat/cap, water and put on sunscreen. Parents are most welcome to come along to the sports day and join in on the fun.

Preschool will be having their sports day on the same day.

 

Our girls' team is excited about travelling to Lagos for the WAISAL HS Soccer tournament. It is unfortunate that we could not get enough boys together to send a boys team.

Thanks to coaches -Lambert and Roderick for preparing the girls. Mr. Lambert and Mr. Rutherford will accompany the girls to Lagos. See information form attached.
