MS WAISAL Soccer tournament-Wednesday Dec 3 to Sunday Dec 7

We are happy to have the Lincoln Community School boys and girls and the American International School of Abuja boys attend the tournament. ISD will enter 2 boys’ and 2 girls’ teams. A big thanks to the hosting families. Thanks to our coaches-Ms. Roderick, Mr. Papis, Mr. Ba, Mr. Guedo, Ms. Taylor and our many HS students who have helped to prepare our teams for the tournament. The games begin tomorrow and finals on Saturday at 2pm for girls and 3pm for boys.

There will be a welcome assembly for the soccer at 8:30am in the gym Thursday, December 4th.

HS Basketball

The HS boys and girls have started their seasons last week and coaches are sorting out teams for the season. We have 31 boys and 16 girls out for the teams, which is a great turnout. We will select a boys and girls team to travel to Ghana at the end of February for the WAISAL tournament. HS Girls A Basketball vs. DA

Wednesday December 10 @ 4pm in ISD Gym. Come and support the Lady Jags. We are playing for the Rutherford trophy! Go Hard or Go Home!

MS Volleyball

Students are signing up for MS volleyball. The season begins Tuesday January 6th-3:30pm-5pm. The Volleyball teams will practice on Tuesdays and Wednesdays-3:30pm-5:00pm. Coaches: Head Coach Cushing, Coach Papis, Coach Phillippe and Coach Niassa

Grade 3 to 12 Track and Field

This group will meet on Thursdays from 3:30pm to 5pm beginning Thursday January 8th. The team is preparing for the SIPS X Country on Wednesday March 4th and the Track and Field meet on Friday March 6.

Coaches: Coach Pennypacker, Coach Dickey, Coach Guillaume and Coach Taylor

HS Coed Softball

Thanks to Mr. Bell and Ms. Welander for preparing this team on Fridays after school. The team will enter the local league at Ebbetts Field on Saturdays after the break. They will also enter the WAIST Softball tournament February 16.

Facilities Closed for Holiday Maintenance Work

1.     The swimming pool will be emptied on Friday, December 12 to clean the pool and repair any tiles that need replacing.

2.     The field will be closed over the holiday to add soil, water and fertilizer to have the field ready for the new year

The following facilities will be opened during the break-8am-7pm (NB: Fitness Gym open at 6am-7pm)

Tennis courts, new basketball courts, club basketball court, fitness gym, and ES and KG playgrounds

Community Activities are suspended over the holiday break-Dec 12 to Jan 5th.
