The teams are preparing for the WAISAL tournament Wednesday April 8th to Sunday April 12. The players will also play local schools and we will host a local tournament. SIPS Volleyball Tournament A big thanks to Ms. Cushing for coordinating and her team of coaches-Mr. Papis, Ms, Niassa, Mr. Philippe and the HS boys who helped make MS volleyball a success. We had 67 kids-8 teams this year. The tournament on Thursday March 6th went very well and I would like to thank Ms. Roderick for running this tournament. Results: 1st-BCS 1, 2nd ISD 8, 3rd-ISD 7, 4th-BCS 2 WAISAL Volleyball and Mathcounts tournament. Wednesday March 18 –Sunday March 22-WAISAL Volleyball Tournament-International School of Ouagadougou. All paper work is complete and the volleyball and mathcounts tam are ready for the tournament. The students leave ISD for the airport on Wednesday March 18 @ 11am and return Sunday March 22 @ 12:20pm.( parents need to pick up students from the airport) Track and Field Grade 3 to 12 Track and Field@ Medina Stadium We had 50 runners compete in the X Country on Wednesday March 4 and over 100 athletes compete in the track and field meet on Friday March 6th. I will post results next week ASA Assembly on Monday March 2nd. Thank you students, coaches and parents for supporting this assembly for our students to show off their talents. ASA Trimester 3 begins -Monday March 30-Friday May 22 Forms will be sent home on Monday March 16 for the Elementary students to sign up for trimester 3. WAISAL Events 2015 MS Coed Volleyball-ISO Ouagadougou-Thursday March 19 –Sunday March 22 Field Maintenance The field will be closed from Friday March 20 until Sunday March 29. We will reopen the field on Monday March 30. The field is in desperate need for a rest and repair. We will be adding soil, fertilizer and grass seed to the field at this time. Facilities opened-6am-8am and 6pm-7pm (fitness room to 8pm) Community activities will stop for the spring break at ISD. There will be no activities at ISD Saturday March 21 to Sunday March 29. Activities begin Monday March 30 |
