Teams:
HS Basketball this week.
The girls’ teams will practice-Tuesdays Jan 10-4:45pm-6pm, Wednesdays
Jan 11-4:45pm-6pm and Thursdays-Jan 12- 3:30pm-4:45pm.
Boys:
Tuesday-Jan 10- 3:30pm-4:45pm, Wednesdays-Jan 11-7am-8am and Thursdays-Jan
12-4:45pm-6pm( the boys will play a teachers team during Thursday practice)
HS WAISAL Basketball
Tournament-Dakar Senegal Thursday February 2 to Sunday February 5 2012
We have
changed the date of the tournament from Feb 23-26 to Feb 2 -5 because the
Senegalese election will be on Sunday February 26 and we did not want to host
this tournament the same weekend.
We will
need to house/host between 80 High School boys and girls for this tournament.
We will be asking the HS student body to help with the hosting. I will send
out hosting/housing letter to all HS parents.

attached the homestay registration form.

HS Softball team for WAIST
tournament-Jan14-16
Nicky
Mathy Grade 11, Hani Shadid Grade 11 and Ryan Hope Grade 12 will organize the
HS ISD WAIST softball team. They had practice on Friday January 6, Sunday
January 8-11am-scrimmage vs. ISD teachers and will practice this week-time to
be confirmed.
The annual WAIST Softball
tournament-January 14-16
ISD
Faculty and ISD Students have entered teams in the tournament. The teams will
play pool games on Saturday and Sunday. The teams need to win their pool to
progress to the playoff rounds on Monday. See attached schedule and
information.

African Dance and Drum
Classes
Anyone interested in
African dance classes taught by a professional Guinean dancer. We'll be
dancing to live drumming, led by Fode Bangoura (my husband) and master
drummer. Classes will be on Tuesdays, at 4:30 under the tree next to the gym,
and will cost 7,000 CFA per class. Come on out and
DANCE!! Djembe
drum class of the year started on Thursdays. We'll be under the tree
next to the gym, starting at 4:20. If the rhythms move you, just come on

Ladies and Gentlemen
The “Sien Fout Le
Score” Rugby Club invites all students aged 5 years to 14 years interested in
learning and playing the game of rugby to come along to a registration,
information and playing session at ISD.

FOUT rugby school @ ISD Fridays 5:00 pm until 6:30 pm at the
International School of Dakar
Veterans Men Rugby –Saturday 5pm-7pm @ ISD-No practice this week-January 14.
