2. ISD Sports Teams:

MS Volleyball-Season has ended! Report by Coach Niassa

Middle School Volley is Over L

It has been an amazing season. We started out the season with learning the basic skills; serving, bumping and setting. We had 5 skills practices, separating the big group into smaller groups based on grade level. Afterwards, we started the Round Robin Games. There were 6 teams of 6-8 players each. Each team played a total of 15 games over a 5-day period. On February 16, the Round Robin Intramural Tournament started and ended on February 24 with Jag and Swag coming out on top.  We had games with DA on February 22 and 29. On the 22nd Junior 1 went to DA, played against their Junior team and won, while Intermediate 1 and 2 played against DA here at ISD. Intermediate 1 won also. On the 29th Junior 2 played against DA’s Junior team and lost in a tight game of 3-2. The Intermediate teams went to DA and … On March 1st the two Intermediate teams went to DA for an Intermediate Volleyball Tournament at DA. There were six teams involved, two from ISD, two from DA and a club team from Dakar. We didn’t win, but we had FUN and learned how to work as a team. J Which is the most important?

See the results for the season attached.

Grade 3-12 –Track and Field

Thanks to all the teachers and parents who help with the ISD invitational track and field meet. We had a very successful meet and it was great to have athletes from WACA and EAB schools participate. The team event was won by ISD and they were awarded the trophy.
