ASA- After School Activities Trimester III

ASA Trimester III ends Friday May 25.  Some students have not paid their fees to the instructors. Please pay now!

 

GAUCHER’S SOCCER ACADEMY.

The academy teams had games against teams from Ouakam on Wednesday. It was a great turnout.

2. ISD Sports Teams:

 

MS Basketball Season

We are up to the semifinals in the MS Intramural League. The semifinals will be played on Tuesday-3:30-5pm. The finals will be on Thursday May 24.

Results: See Results attached.

ISD MS Basketball tournament –Saturday June 2-9am-4pm. Our boys and girls teams will play in the tournament with teams from EAB School, Guediawaye Club and AMD Club. Schedule and information will be sent out next week.

Next Week:

Monday May 21-The boys’ team travels to Dakar Academy. The bus leaves at 3:30pm. The boys should be back between 5:30pm-6pm.

Tuesday May 22- Semifinals-3-3:30pm-5pm

Wednesday May 23- Boys and Girls tournament teams practice-3:30m-5pm

Thursday May 24-Finals

MS Madness Soccer Tournament at lunchtimes-finals games will be played today.

Table Tennis Tournament at ISD –Saturday May 19-2:30pm-7pm

The Senegal Table Tennis Federation will be hosting a tournament in the ISD gym on Saturday. Students and parents are welcome to turn up and play in the tournament. Registration at 2:30pm. Adams from our finance office is part of the organizing committee.

The WAISAL season has finished and it was great ISD sent teams to every event except the HS boys’ soccer team. We competed very well in all events.

MS Soccer-Girls -1st, Boys A -2nd , Boys B-8th

HS Volleyball-Boys A -1st, Boys B-3rd, Girls -2nd

Swimming Team-3rd, Many individual medal winners

HS Basketball-Girls -2nd, Boys-2nd

MS Mathcounts-Team A-4th and Team B -6th. Individual winner-Sid-1st

HS Soccer-Girls -3rd, Boys did not participate

I have attached the updated list December 9 newsletter of activities and times of community activities organized by community members throughout the week. Contact me if you have any questions 

   

African Dance and Drum Classes

Anyone interested in African dance classes taught by a professional Guinean dancer. We'll be dancing to live drumming, led by Fode Bangoura (my husband) and master drummer. Classes will be on Tuesdays, at 4:30 under the tree next to the gym, and will cost 7,000 CFA per class.  Come on out and DANCE!!                                                                                                                                           Djembe drum class of the year started on Thursdays.  We'll be under the tree next to the gym, starting at 4:20. If the rhythms move you, just come on over. Shelly Stein -Grade 2 teacher

Kids Rugby-Boys and Girls- Fridays -5pm-6:30pm @ ISD

Ladies and Gentlemen

The “Sien Fout Le Score” Rugby Club invites all students aged 5 years to 14 years interested in learning and playing the game of rugby to come along to a registration, information and playing session at ISD.

Trainings at P'TITS S'EN FOUT rugby school @ ISD Fridays 5:00 pm until 6:30 pm at the International School of Dakar                                        

Veterans Men Rugby –Saturday 5pm-7pm @ ISD

 

Dance Lessons at Club Olympic

Georgena Blair the dance teacher at ISD will be offering dance lessons at Club Olympic.
