  1. ASA- After School Activities Trimester 1:

NB: There are still some students who have not paid their fees for ASA, for the first month and they now need to pay for 2 months. We are in the second month so students should be paying for the second month to their instructors.

Mondays:

Gaucher Soccer Academy-Pay to Mr. Gaucher

Karate-8000 for 1 month and 16000 for 2 months-pay to Mr. Te Huki

Dance -8000 for 1 month and 16000 for 2 months-pay to Instructor

Fencing-12000 for 1 month and 24000 for 2 months-pay to Instructor

Circus Arts--8000 for 1 month and 16000 for 2 months-pay to Instructor

Tuesdays:

Tennis-5000 for 1 month and 10000 for 2 months-pay to Mr. Te Huki

Wednesday:

Gaucher Soccer Academy-Pay to Mr. Gaucher

            Chess-8000 for 1 month and 16000 for 2 months-pay to Instructor

Dance-8000 for 1 month and 16000 for 2 months-pay to Instructor

Tennis-5000 for 1 month and 10000 for 2 months-pay to Mr. Te Huki

Thursday:

Swimming--8000 for 1 month and 16000 for 2 months-pay to Instructor (This is a paying swimming class-please pay to Mr. Doudou)

Tennis-5000 for 1 month and 10000 for 2 months-pay to Mr. Te Huki

Capoeire-8000 for 1 month and 16000 for 2 months-pay to Instructor

Friday:

Dance-8000 for 1 month and 16000 for 2 months-pay to Instructor

 

              ASA Reminders:

-Please encourage your child to commit for the duration of the activity.

-Students need to report to the designated venue for the activity on time.

-Students need to come prepared for their activity e.g.-swimming gear; tennis coaches have racquets for students etc

-Some activities are full and there are spaces in others. Check lists.

-Please pay fee to instructors on time.

-Please inform me, the office or the instructor if you pull out of an activity.

-The weather is hot-encourage the students in outside activities to bring a water bottle and cap/hat.

HS Volleyball Girls: Practices next week: Girls: Tuesday 26 October -4:45pm--6pm, Wednesday-No practice, Thursday 28 October-4:10pm-5:30pm, Saturday 23 October-Matches 9:30am-ISD vs. SABS Girls @ ISD

 

 

HS Volleyball Boys: Tuesday 26 October-3:30pm-4:45pm, Wednesday 27-No practice, Thursday 28 October: 7am-8am, Saturday 23 October-Matches 9:30am-ISD vs. SABS Boys @ ISD

 

HS Boys and Girls Volleyball teams be at school by 9am on Saturday for matches.

WAISAL HS Volleyball Tournament Update

 

We will be hosting the WAISAL HS Volleyball boys and girls tournament at ISD-November 11-14. The following WAISAL schools have registered to date: Bamako/Mali Girls only, Abuja/Nigeria-Boys and Girls teams, Accra/Ghana-Boys and Girls

All players in the HS teams are expected to host 2 or 3 students. We will have 65 -70 students to host. I will send hosting forms home on Saturday and Monday with the volleyball students.

 

  1. Swimming Classes:

 

          HS, MS and ES classes have completed their swimming unit with the exception of    

          Grade 6 KGS and KGB-Monday and Tuesday and Mr. Gaucher’s Monday

          swimming classes.

                                                                                                                                        

  1. Golf- Mr. Stefan Gehrold a parent at ISD is willing to organize a group of students interested in learning to play the game of golf.

ES to HS students if you are interested in golf lessons please read the attachment or contact me.

 

  1. Junior Ambassadors and Manners and Me Program – Meet at the International School of Dakar on Sundays at 1:30-3:30pm in the music room.

  1. Junior Rugby: Rugby for boys and girls ages 5 years to 14 years on Friday’s at 5:00pm at ISD. Email me if you need further information.

 

  1. Veterans Rugby: Any HS students or adults interested in playing some contact and touch rugby, practices at ISD Saturdays-5pm-7pm.

 

REMINDER

Dear Parents,                                                                                                                                                                                                                

Gaucher Soccer Academy starts officially started October 4 and would like to inform you of the following:

Schedule:

ü  Under 7:  From 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm

ü  Under 10: From 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm

ü  Under 13: From 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm

ü  Under 18: From 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm

Players from outside ISD                                                                                                                                                                                                 Gaucher Soccer Academy opens its door to kids from other local and international schools like Jean Mermoz and communities of Dakar as well.

Membership fee and monthly fee                                                                                                                                                                                These past two weeks we had 5 practices with ISD students and asked 7500 f cfa for payment.

As for this month, payment will be:

§  20.000 f cfa Membership fee (season) / if you haven’t paid it yet

§  15.000 f cfa (Month) / (2 practices a week)

§  15.000 f cfa (uniform) / if you wish to order one for your kid

Please, make sure you pay your fees as soon as possible if it’s not done yet.
