Another exciting week for sports at ISD. Middle School Soccer stayed unblemished in both boys and girls play. The boys A and B teams took on Dakar Academy on Wednesday. The boys A team defeated the Lions 5-1. The offense was especially potent and our defense was tight as DA only was able to muster a few shots on net. The B Team dominated from start to finish as they crushed the Lions 12-1. In girls action on Thursday, the Lady Jags tied 1-1. Awesome goalie play by Skye and exceptional work on offense by Liberty helped the Jaguars in the game. Girls on a Roll in Volleyball The High School Girls Volleyball team played a grueling 5 set match and defeated the Lady Lions 3 sets to 2 sets. Agnes had numerous kills and there was some outstanding defense by Emma and Claierose. Boys Volleyball drops a Couple The boys team played well on Wednesday and Thursday but dropped a couple of matches. The first match against DA, the Jaguars were swept in 3 sets. On Thursday, the Jaguars took on CSF. Although playing the best match of the year, the Jaguars came up a little short. Great play from Anta and Ali kept the Jags in the match for the most part. The B Team split against the two teams. Highlights include Mourtada and Cheikh with some powerful kills. Swimming Dives In Deep The Swim Team had an incredible intramural meet on Saturday. Many of the swimmers cut their times down by numerous seconds. Highlights include Louis, Alex, and Anjali just to name a few. Games This Week Tomorrow: Swim Meet vs. Ngor- 9:00AM at the ISD Pool.
