WAISAL/WAIST and Sports

What an incredible week of sports we had at ISD. First, the boys’ basketball team continued their incredible play by defeating Grand Yoff in the Inaugural Dakar Basketball League Championship. The Jags came from behind in the 4th Quarter to win by a score of 29-26. Congrats to Coach Steph, Coach Kofi and the boys on an incredible season with a WAISAL and a DBL championship in hand.

Next, the ISD Jaguar softball team went undefeated this past weekend to win the WAIST championship. The Jags ended up 4-0 on the weekend defeating The Rogues, SABS x 2, and IRBQ. This was a fabulous way to end the season. Thanks to Coach Bell and Welander for an incredible journey these past four years.

Not to be left out, congratulations to the ISD Staff team, The Swingers, as they also won their division going 4-0. Thanks to Coach 4G for putting in all the time and effort to make it a successful season.

With all that going on, it is hard to believe that boys and girls high school soccer and middle school boys and girls basketball are in full swing. Games will start next week for the soccer players. Basketball will begin the week after spring break.
