 I hope your children have had a wonderful start to the school year. The Board is responsible for ensuring the financial stability of the school and establishing school policy. It also oversees use of school facilities, appoints the director of the school and plans strategically for the future of the school. Trustees are volunteer parents or legal guardians of children enrolled at ISD. They are elected by the school community. Current Trustees are: Jennifer Grant, Linda Percy, Thiaba Camara Sy, James Garry, Papa Ndiaye, Marie Blanchard, Jonathan Scott and Louisa Gibbs. Annual Board Retreat: ISD Board members are currently participating in their annual Board retreat that began Thursday evening. The annual retreat is a very important time for the Board. It is where Board members come together to focus on being an effective team and look at the long term strategic issues facing ISD.
