Dear ISD Parents,

ISD's Board of Trustees would like to invite you to a
Coffee Morning
At 8.30 a.m. on Tuesday 3rd of November 2015
in the
ISD Admin Building Conference Room

Please join ISD Board trustees for a cup of coffee or tea and some snacks. This is a great opportunity to exchange with current ISD Board trustees and learn more about what the Board does. Trustees would love to meet you!

The ISD Board of Trustees is a collegial group that works collectively, in close collaboration with the school Director and Principals, to promote ISD’s mission, planning and future development. Trustees are parents elected by members of the ISD Association (parents, faculty and school Director) at our AGM in April. The ISD Board of Trustees offers members the opportunity to work in a multi-cultural educational environment that is dynamic and challenging. We work with a group of highly qualified and experienced administrators and educators to continue to add value to a vibrant and successful school.

Individual trustees contribute their experience, time and talents while working as a team with other Board members. The term of service is two years. Trustees attend one monthly board meeting and one to three monthly committee meetings, board governance orientation, as well as an annual retreat for training and yearly goal setting.

We encourage interested parents to consider board trusteeship and contributing their experience, talents and time to foster the future development of our school.

We are seeking ISD parents with the following interests and skills:
  • Commitment to ISD and to its mission.
  • The ability to work as a team player with a diverse, international group in a multi-cultural environment.
  • An expertise that will benefit the work of the Board.
  • Experience on a school board or similar non-profit body.
  • An interest in strategic issues related to ISD's present and future educational quality and development.
  • Experience living or working in an international environment.
We look forward to seeing you on the 3rd of November!

With best wishes.

Gráinne MacRae
Board Vice-Chair
Governance & Development Committee Chair
