ISD School Board Elections Registration for ISD School Board Trustee Candidates is OPEN! Four trustee positions are open for election this year. Candidate registration closes on March 18, 2016. Interested candidates should send a CV and letter of intent stating why you would like to run for a trustee position by March 18 to ISD Board Secretary, Gilles Meura at boardbox@isd.sn. March Board Meeting The Board met on Thursday March 10 for its monthly meeting. Below are a few highlights from the meeting. Annual General Meeting and Trustee Elections Governance & Development committee Chair Jennifer Grant presented the draft agenda for the upcoming Annual General Meeting of the ISD Association to the Board for feedback. Board members were also updated on the ongoing trustee candidate registration process. Harassment Policy Proposal – 1st Reading ISD administration recommended to the Board a proposal for a new Harassment policy. ES Guidance Counselor Pam Pelliccia and HS Guidance Counselor Kayla Bishop made a presentation to Board members on the background to, and considerations for, this proposed policy. Board members discussed the policy proposal and proposed changes. Proposed Amendment to Tuition Refund Policy – 1st Reading ISD administration recommended a proposed amendment to current ISD Policy # 5306 on Tuition refunds in the event of student withdrawals from ISD. The policy amendment proposal clarifies current policy by providing for a refund schedule based on specific dates. The Board approved the policy amendment proposal for publication for comment by the ISD community ahead of a 2nd Board reading in April. Please click HERE to read the policy amendment proposal. Campus Master Plan Director Dr Alan Knobloch presented ISD administration’s recommendation for the school’s Master Campus Plan to the Board. Board members reviewed the different construction phases and options set out in the plan. The Board will vote on the Campus Master Plan at its April 2016 meeting.
