 May 2015 Board Meeting On Thursday May 7, the ISD Board of Trustees held its regular monthly meeting. The Board was pleased to welcome John Wishart, ISD Technology Director, who made a presentation on ISD’s laptop program for teachers and students. John took a quick look back at the program, which was launched in 2009, and presented plans for upgrading current laptops in the high school next year. Thursday’s meeting brought together newly-elected trustees, trustees in the second year of their term, and outgoing Board members. 2015-2016 Board Sincere thanks were conveyed to outgoing Faculty representative Marc Guillaume, MS Science teacher, for his contributions to the work of the Board. In addition to representing faculty, Marc served on the Board’s Policy Committee and the Strategic Planning Core Planning Team. The Board was pleased to welcome Sandra Goldsborough, MS Social Studies teacher, who is taking over from Marc as Faculty representative. Karen Gustafson de Andrade will continue to serve on the Board as the US Ambassador’s representative in the coming year. Trustees of the incoming Board are as follows: Thiaba Camara Sy, Vesna de la Borde, Allyson Gardner, James Garry, Jennifer Grant, Gráinne MacRae, Gilles Meura, Papa Ndiaye and Linda Percy. Board Officer Elections Board officers for the 2015-2016 school year were elected by Trustees in the Executive Session following the regular meeting.
