French play at the Clubhouse Last Friday, May 26.

On Friday May 26, we welcomed Corinne Berges and her Troupe for the play « Ado c’est mieux ! » by Geneviève Steinling.

The play was about the transitioning from childhood to adolescence and starts with kids waiting for the train to the land of adolescence. A character is supposed to hand them a passport but in order to obtain it, they must face several challenges. This topic is based on comic situations such as having to abandon toys, etc.

The cast featured KG-5 students. An ISD student, Juliette Bourdeaux grade 4I, was one of the comedians.
We had a very large audience with nearly 100 students from grades 3, 4 and 5.
The kids really enjoyed the play.

Fresh Mozzarella and Italian Cuisine

posted May 5, 2017, 10:23 AM by Suzanne WARDINI

Last Friday at the Italian country booth many people asked us where we took the fresh mozzarella from, others asked us the address of the Italian restaurant in Ngor. So below is contact info for the mozzarella guy and attached the info of the restaurant Francesca.

Cibus Italia
Tel: 771844434 or 338245316

They produce daily, with the exception of Sundays, at their center in Sacré Coeur 3 pyrotechnie. Although mozzarella was the original focus, they have since expanded to include the following handmade cheese with Senegalese collaborators:
  • Stracciatella: frayed strands of mozzarella, mixed with fresh cream
  • Braided mozzarella (300/400 grams each)
  • Burrata: mozzarella ball filled with stracciatella (200/400 grams each)
The cheeses are 18,500cfa/kilo and delivery is free in Dakar with a minimum order of 500g. To order, just contact Cibus (English, French, Italian), ideally 24-48 hours in advance.
