Dear Parents,

As you may know, ISD students have the possibility to take the DELF Prim (Diplôme d’Etudes en Langue Française). This is an official qualification awarded by the French Ministry of Education to certify the competency of candidates from outside France in the French language.

We are pleased to announce that we have 42 students (from grades 3 to 6) enrolled for the next DELF Prim exam which will be held on May 4, 2011. This is twice as many as last year.  We are proud of our students!

For secondary students, the Institut français is offering the DELF Junior which is adapted to their age group. Only the topics are different in order to take into account the interests of young people. As with the DELF Prim, the examination evaluates the four communication skills: reading, listening, writing and speaking.

The exam for the MS students will take place on April 29, 2011.

Registration for the DELF Junior has not yet begun.  We will come back to you later to give you further information.

Best regards,

The French Department
