Dear Parents:

We have begun Hearing and Vision testing. This year we will be testing all students in Kindergarten, 3rd, 5th, 7th and 10th grade per the school recommendations of the organization Prevent Blindness. 

In addition all students who are new to ISD this year will be tested. Kindergarten will be screened this week and 10th grade will be screened next week. The remaining grades and new students will begin next week and continue into January dependent on scheduling.

Once your child has been screened the results will be added to their medical file on Focus. If there is reason for further evaluation by a specialist you will be sent a letter explaining the results. Not receiving a letter means that there is no reason for concern.
