University acceptance letters continue to arrive, bringing the total to 21 Seniors with at least one offer of admission for Fall 2012. It is still a bit early in this process and many Seniors are impatiently awaiting the date when their universities will make their decisions known. A quick look at the latest round of acceptances is below. For the complete list see the previous post of February 8. Khoudia Gadio: Khoudia has received another offer of admission, this one from Pace University. Born in Columbus, Ohio, USA, Khoudia has been an ISD student since 2001. She has a number of other applications pending and will wait for those decisions before choosing her university. Khoudia is undecided on what major she will pursue. Pace is a private 4-year university with a residential campus in New York City. Founded in 1906, Pace currently enrolls over 7400 undergraduates including 400 international students. The most popular majors include Business/Marketing, Communications/Journalism, Computer/Information Sciences, Health Sciences, and Psychology. www.pace.edu Ishaq Geier: Ishaq has been offered admission by Virginia Wesleyan University. Born in the USA, Ishaq has attended ISD since 2010. He has other applications pending and will not make a decision until later in the spring. Virginia Wesleyan College is a private 4-year liberal arts college affiliated with the United Methodist Church. Located in Norfolk, Virginia, VWC was founded in 1961 and currently has 1300 undergrad students. Most popular majors include Business & Marketing, Communications & Journalism, Social Sciences, Psychology, and Education. Kadijah Ndoye: Sarah Lawrence College has offered Kadijah admission for Fall 2012. Kadijah is a US citizen and has attended ISD since 2008. Although she has other applications pending, Sarah Lawrence is very high on her priority list. She has not yet had time to respond to the offer. Founded in 1926, Sarah Lawrence is a coeducational liberal arts college located in Yonkers, New York, a 30 minute train ride from Midtown Manhattan. With a distinctive academic philosophy emphasizing the individual student, Sarah Lawrence undergrads spend twice as much one-on-one time with professors as students in other private liberal arts colleges. The College’s 1,200 undergraduate students come from nearly every state and from 35 countries. Nuerki Nortey: Nuerki has been accepted for admission at St. John's University in New York. A native of Ghana, Nuerki joined ISD as a Junior in 2010. She is waiting to hear from other applications before making a final decision on where to attend. St. John's is a private 4-year university affiliated with the Roman Catholic Church. Located in Queens, New York, SJU was founded in 1870 and currently enrolls over 12,000 undergraduates, including over 600 international students. Business/Marketing, Health Sciences, Communications/Journalism, Legal Studies, Psychology, and Education are among the most popular majors. Michael Scanlon-Tanla: Michael has received a second offer of admission, the latest from Michigan State University. A native
of the USA born in Bogota, Colombia, Michael has been an ISD student since
2010. Although he has several other applications
pending, Michigan State is very high on his priority list. He has not yet announced a final decision on where he will attend. A public 4-year university in East Lansing, Michigan, MSU hosts over 36,000 undergraduates including over 2500 international students. The most popular majors include Engineering/Engineering Technologies, Biology, Business/Marketing, Communications/Journalism, Health Sciences, and Social Sciences. Caroline Taylor: Caroline has received 3 offers of admission, from Endicott College, the University of South Carolina and the University of Vermont. Born in Silver Springs, Maryland, USA, Caroline has attended ISD since 2008. She has a number of other applications pending and will make her final decision later in the spring. The University of South Carolina is a public 4-year university in Columbia, South Carolina. With over 20,000 undergraduates, USC offers a wide variety of majors, among which Business/Marketing, Communications/Journalism, Social Science, Education, and Visual/Performing Arts are most popular. The University of Vermont is also a public, 4-year university, founded in 1791 and located in Burlington, Vermont. The 10,000 undergraduates (100+ international students) at UV have made Biology, Business/Marketing, Education, English, Natural Resources/Environmental Sciences, and Social Sciences the most popular majors. Endicott College, founded in 1939, is a private 4-year liberal arts college in Beverly, Massachusetts. Endicott currently enrolls 2300 undergraduates including 400+ international students. Most popular majors include Business/Marketing, Communications/Journalism, Education, Parks/Recreation, Health Sciences, and Visual/Performing Arts. Arnaud Vittin: Arnaud has been offered admission at both York College of Pennsylvania and State University of New York College at Plattsburgh, NY. A student at ISD since 2008, Arnaud was born in Geneva, Switzerland and is of USA/Beninese nationality. Arnaud will not make a final decision on universities until later in the spring. York College of Pennsylvania was founded in 1787 and is a private 4-year liberal arts college in York, Pennsylvania. With 5000 undergraduate students, YCP's most popular majors include Business/Marketing, Communications/Journalism, Education, and Health Sciences. SUNY Plattsburgh is a 4-year liberal arts and teachers college founded in 1889. SUNY Plattsburgh's 6000 undergraduate students most often choose Business/Marketing, Communications/Journalism, Education, Psychology, and Health or Social Sciences as a major. Claudia Willnow: Claudia has been offered admission at St. John's University in Queens, NY. Claudia enrolled at ISD in 2011as a Senior after finishing three years at the International School Manila. A citizen of the United States, Claudia will wait to hear from a number of pending applications before making a final decision. St. John's is a private 4-year university affiliated with the Roman Catholic Church.
