An opportunity for parents, stakeholders, and other professionals to
share their knowledge, expertise, and personal career journey with ISD high school students.
Dear Parents and Community Members,
It is our pleasure to invite you to participate in Career Week 2014 to be held the week of April 14 – 18. As a professional, you are a rich source of career information for our students. We hope you are able to join us and share your personal career journey with our high school students.
Career Week involves a series of 30-minute seminars led by parents and other professionals from Dakar and the ISD community. Seminars are held during lunch each day, 11:45 am – 12:15 pm, and will introduce students to key factors about careers, such as the following:
· The education/degrees required · The job outlook for the career in the coming decade · Typical duties and work day activities · Particular rewards and challenges of that career · Thoughts, important moments, and memories of the presenter’s personal career journey
If you are able to join us, or would like more information, please reply by email or feel free to call or drop by Sam Scoggin's office in the secondary school building. We will make every effort to arrange a seminar for you on the date most convenient for you. We look forward to hearing from you!
