How would you like to turn things around a bit and have college and university admissions counselors seek you out because they think you would be a good match for their school? For students in grades 10 and 11, the Council of International Schools sponsors the CIS International Student Registry Service. With this free service students can register online and complete a detailed profile that allows CIS member universities to match those students who fit their particular recruitment profile. The universities will then reach out to the students through email and regular mail, sending recruitment information and other descriptive materials. There are currently almost 500 CIS member colleges and universities world-wide (over 300 in the USA). A complete directory of members may be found at the CIS website (the list can be filtered by country). Detailed information on the Registry and the online registration form may be found at the CIS website: http://www.cois.org/page.cfm?p=265 Please remember that submitting the form gives CIS permission to share your information with the member universities. Students will almost certainly receive materials by mail so only students wishing to receive these materials should register. A valid mailing address is required. Please come by the Counselor's Office is you have questions or need more information. |
