Thank you to all of the parents who attended the Community Norms and Positive Behavior Support meeting on either Wednesday, November 4th or Friday, November 6th. The three counselors were very pleased with the turnout of parents and want to thank you all for your support and feedback. For those who were unable to attend, please find the Keynote presentation attached. The counselors are thrilled with the positive feedback given at the meeting. During the afternoon of Friday November 6th, Eileen, Kayla, and Pam gathered and tallied all of the Warm and Cool feedback as well as the Suggestions given. We are happy to report that the positive feedback outweighed the negative feedback in every category and subcategory! We received several suggestions from the group. Most of the suggestions were related to the definition of "taking risks" and under which CORE category particular norms should be placed. The counselors are using this important information to continue to refine the community norms so they are relevant and impactful for the ISD community of teachers, parents, staff, and students. |
