A wide variety of summer college programs are available for high school students during the summer of 2011. The college programs are usually residential programs in which students live in the college dormitory and may vary in length from one to several weeks. Designed to give high school students an idea of what to expect in college classes, some offer college credit upon successful completion of the classes. Harvard, Columbia, Cornell, Brown, and SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design) are among the many universities who have already published information for the summer of 2011. Information is posted on the bulletin board between my office and Mr. Emborsky's office. Please feel free to contact me in the Counselors Office if you have questions: schoolcounselor@isd.sn. A simple Google search of "summer college programs for high school students" is also a good start in finding out more about these programs. |
