University Night for Seniors and their parents was held on Thursday, September 30, in the library. Most of the seniors and/or their parents were able to attend and participate in the discussion on important events and deadlines involving the University Application process. Those parents who were unable to attend are welcome to contact me for any information they might need or questions they may have about how, when, and where to begin work on College Applications, find information on different university systems, and explore Financial Aid opportunities for our students. Parents and Seniors, please remember to explore those websites and pay attention to the deadlines for submitting various information! Remember the quote by author Douglas Adams:
"I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by!"
Parents of students in grades 9 - 11, please remember that the PSAT will be administered to all students in those grades on Wednesday, October 13, beginning at 8:30 am. We appreciate your help in getting all of our students here on-time that morning. Hopefully the weather will cooperate with us that day! Students were given the Official Student Guide to the PSAT in homerooms this week and should spend as much time as possible preparing for the test.
The ACT will take place at ISD on October 23 for students who have registered for that test date. Please contact me if you need more information.
The deadline to register for the November 6 administration of the SAT is fast approaching. International students must register by October 8 in order to test in November. There is no late registration for International Settings.
Have a great weekend, get some rest, and study! |
