From Cats to Curriculum I want to share some news about the families of cats on the campus. We have been able to have a veterinarian come onto the campus and she is humanely trapping the cats and neutering them. While with her they are also receiving rabies vaccinations and we have noticed that when they are returned to campus, they are a lot quieter. It is hoped that they will continue to keep away other rodent and serpent pests. The IB Curriculum has been formally submitted with teacher names and subject offering to the IBO. We hope to hear within the month of the date of the authorization visit. As soon as we are authorized we will be able to call ourselves an IB School and we think we will see a small student population increase in the Middle and High Schools and parents realise the great potential of this secondary school program. Ian Clark and I will be in the USA starting next week, attending recruiting fairs in Boston and San Francisco. We are still looking for some staff members to fill some key positions and in addition to our advertisements on the website, we also advertise with Search Associates, a large organization that puts Teachers and School Administrations in touch. Continue to enjoy the beautiful weather, we will stay in touch from the States. |
