All parents are invited to the Ground Breaking Ceremony for the new building, to be held Friday, Dec 17 at noon on the back lot. A huge amount of work has gone into getting the school to this point, and we are excited to celebrate this new chapter in ISD's history. The ceremony will be short and student-centered, and we would love to have parent support.

The construction on the Phase I building will begin immediately, and during the winter break the empty field behind the elementary will be transformed into a work site with heavy equipment and lots of workers. We've made arrangements with ENEA for machines to pass through our back gate, and a security fence will separate students from the construction work. Windows in the security fence will allow them to see the progress as it unfolds. A webcam is being set up to produce a quicktime movie of the work in progress, and I hope it will be up and viewable during the break.

We hope to see you Friday at this big event. Thank you all for your support and faith as the Board and School Admin have worked to make this possible. There is a long way yet to go, but we are taking an important step on Friday.
We hope you will join us.
