There is a middle school soccer tournament schedule to take place in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso from December 3 to 7. We are closely monitoring the evolving political situation there. For any scheduled sports trip to another country, we are in communication with the hosting school and the Regional Security Officer in the US Embassy here in Dakar to determine if it is safe to travel to that country. If the school in Ouagadougou is unable to host the tournament, we have offered to host in the tournament at ISD. Playing in a tournament against schools from different countries is a highlight for our students and we want to do everything we can to make sure the tournament is held. We will have an update in the next week. •••• Un tournoi de football est prévu à Ouagadougou, au Burkina Faso du 3 au 7 décembre 2014. Nous suivons de près la situation politique au Burkina Faso. Pour tout voyage de sport des élevés, nous sommes en communication avec l’école hôte et le responsable de la sécurité régionale de l'ambassade américaine à Dakar, afin de déterminer s’il est prudent de voyager dans ce pays. Si l'école à Ouagadougou n'est pas en mesure d'accueillir le tournoi, nous avons proposé d’organiser le tournoi ici à ISD. Le fait de jouer dans un tournoi contre des écoles de différents pays est important pour nos élevés et nous voulons faire tout notre possible pour assurer que le tournoi aura lieu.
