Dear Parents,

It is assembly and performance season at ISD. On the back of the Musical Picnic, we had two wonderful assemblies and look forward to our ASA assembly on Monday. I'll share more on the year at a Parent Coffee and we are all excitedly preparing for our conferences in two weeks. More on all this below....

I must also add a reminder that we have postponed Saturday's Gaucher Soccer Tournament. We'll reschedule, but following the advice of our nurse and other agencies in the short term is for the best.

Notes:

1. After School Activities End Today: Just to note that if you have no catch-up session, today was the last day for ASA's.

2. After School Activities Assembly - Monday, March 2: Here is the program:

1. Dance-Ballet 2. Dance Hip Hop 3. Fencing 4. Taekwondo 5. Karate 6. Circus Arts 7. Drumming

Do come if you can - 3:40pm, in the gym.

We'll meet in the Conference Room from 8:40am, and there'll be coffee.

4. Pre-K Parent Conferences and K-5 Student-led Conferences: In two weeks we have our conferences. There is a difference between the formats; our Pre-K parents will have regular parent/teacher conferences, and the K-5 will have Student-led Conferences. if you have not experienced these before, I'll have a presentation on these on Tuesday at the Parent Coffee, with more to follow next week.

Please note that:

- ALL STUDENTS ATTEND THE K-5 STUDENT-LED CONFERENCES WITH THEIR PARENTS

- STUDENTS DO NOT ATTEND THE PRE-K PARENT CONFERENCES; ONLY PARENTS

5. SIPS Dates: Good luck to all who are competing in the SIPS events:

7. Family Values Workshop Follow-up: If you missed the parent workshop presented by Susie Brown and Pam Pelliccia on February 24th here are the handouts (attached at the bottom).  In the workshop parents identified their family values, wrote guiding principles and developed an action plan to help instil their values in their children.

8. Assemblies This Week: We had two great assemblies this week. Thursday's was 1T who showed us how to debate the merits of Horton and Maisie (I am for Horton):
