Dear Parents,

Thank you to those of you who have lent time in the last few weeks to Ms. Joy and Ms. Janel to help produce The Emerald Crown. The musical is this evening and tomorrow, and I know there will be full houses. We also start MAP testing next week, and we'll be sending results home in 2 weeks. More below....

Notes:

1. Emerald Crown: If you are coming, please be seated by 6:20pm. Both nights are now fully sold out!! Please be responsible for all the children you signed up for, and wait with them if they are being picked up by someone else - we do appreciate your support with these events!!

2. MAP Testing Begins: Next week, we will be beginning the Winter set of MAP tests. Your teachers will share with you the days of your tests, and if you would like to know more, visit the MAP testing PARENT TOOLKIT HERE

3. WAISAL HS Basketball Spirit Assembly: We cheered long and hard this morning welcoming the visiting schools for our WAISAL basketball tournament!:

4. Upcoming Assemblies: Here are the upcoming assemblies for the rest of this semester:

 
5. Yearbook News: At the end of the year, each family will receive ONE FREE yearbook. Any additional books cost 20,000cfa. Please return the form that went home as soon as you can if you would like to order additional copies. 

6. 3C Collaboration: Here is Mrs. Clark's class working together in an activity based on their rainforest unit.

8. Upcoming Movie Night - Feb. 26: A heads-up, as plans are afoot for a movie night for K-5 students (K-2 must be accompanied by their parents). Co-hosted by the Senior Class and our ES Student Council.

9. Tennis Tournament: This is also an early head-up from Mr. Bowler, as he is organizing a doubles tennis tournament for competitors Gr 3 and above (younger too if there are enough applicants). Email him for more details:

10. Maker Space in 5H: We are using the space more regularly in homeroom sessions now, and here is Ms. Hillman's class getting into the tools:
