Dear Parents,

I hope you had a restful day yesterday. Read on for news about the upcoming Elementary Picnic, and Bruce Coville's visit. 

Elementary Picnic: I have heard singing in the hallways as the children prepare their pieces for Ms. Joy's Elementary School Picnic. Please ask your children to contact her early, as I believe slots are filling up:

ASA Pick-up: Mr. Te Huki would like to request that children are picked up by their own parents, driver or nanny after the ASAs. Also, that students attending tennis need to be picked up at the courts. This will avoid confusion when children are to head home.

Atlantic Rowers: Mr. D's 3C class joined some MS/HS students to see off 4 rowers who are making their way by boat across the Atlantic. The rowers have been in Dakar the last two months, and have been working with local schools in environmental awareness projects. Note from the School Nurse: A few children in the Elementary School have been treated for head lice. Head lice is a very common condition that occurs in schools where children have close physical contact. It’s wise to treat the whole family if you see any evidence of either eggs or lice. You can purchase treatment from a local pharmacy. All bedding must also be washed in hot water.
