Dear Parents, I have heard of many wonderful acts of kindness throughout the week, and we hope this stimulated a few discussions around the dinner table. I have again added information about the Maker Space, and we have seen a real upturn in use - it'll be open again at the weekend! More updates below.... Notes: 1. Great Kindness Challenge Week: Here are just a couple of examples of the kindness we see at ISD; sharing and pushing a friend on the swings: Thanks to all teachers, especially Ms. Pam, who coordinated the week, and also made our tree of kindness! Emerald Crown: Here are the upcoming dates for the Emerald Crown Team. - January: 30th 9:30am to 12:00pm for blocking - February: 3rd Dress Rehearsal - February: 5th Matinee and Show 1 - February 6th: Show 2 3. Board Parent Coffee: From the Board - a chance to learn more about the school's campus plans: The school's Maker Space is now available for all students K-5 from 3:30-5:00 Tuesdays - Thursdays. Parents would need to arrange with Mr. Micah Hall (email micahh(at)faculty.isd.sn) and let their teacher know if their child is going to work there. There is also a release form to sign. We have a lot of tools, Lego technic, 3D printer and more - Mr. Hall just need ideas! The space is now also open from 11:00am-3:00pm Saturdays (it is located between the HS and ES buildings).
