Dear Parents, As the dust settles on another Field Day, we can look back to a very busy last three months. Just this week has been full, with photos below. We wish you a pleasant break, and look forward to seeing you back on March 31. World Cultural Month begins the day after! The first day back is a Day 5. Notes: 1. World Cultural Month: When we return from the break, we enter our annual celebration of our diversity, World Cultural Month. Below are some of the events that the Elementary School will enjoy. Most of these take place in the Specials blocks, so they do not impact homeroom or French time. - April 1: Opening Ceremony - April 7-11: Senegal Art Week - April 8-11: Artisans on campus for classes to visit - April 15-18: Traditional Instrument Making in classes - April 18: Senegalese Lunch on Grass - April 24: Bazaar After School - April 25: WCM Final Day 2. Final Day of World Cultural Month: We have a big day on Friday, April 25 when we run the following activities: In the morning: - Classes visiting the booths of nations In the afternoon on the grass: - Grade 3 Drumming - Grade 2 Play and Dance - Musician performing - Display of Senegalese Arts Week creations - Exhibition of our cultural artefacts - Parade of Nations Please do contact Mr. Gaucher (gaucher@isd.sn) to get more details on running a booth. 2.
