Concert Band: First Meeting August 23
The fabulous and fantastic Concert Band ASA that was so brilliantly started last year and performed to rave reviews in the Spring is BACK! We will have our first meeting on Wednesday, August 23, 2017, to talk about expectations and what we hope to accomplish this year. We'd also like to get an idea of how many students are interested and the range of experience we have coming in. We might even get to play through a chart or two! Concert Band is an inclusive group focusing on teamwork, having like-minded goals which are to create music, entertain, and have lots of fun doing it. If you feel this is something you'd like to do we would love to see you in the music room (120) from 3:30-4:30 on Wednesday, August 23 2017 ( and if you can't make it on Wednesday, please join us on Thursday August 24, 2017.) Last Call for the ISD Community Orchestra!
Thank you to the nine students and adults who have filled out the survey expressing interest in the ISD Community Orchestra! Because of this response, this music ensemble will likely begin creating beautiful music together in the near future. I will begin contacting the musicians this next week. However, before I do, I would like to give you adults and students in the community who already play a band or orchestra instrument a chance to get in on the ground level by filling in an interest survey telling me about yourself.
